When Graceworks Ministries became aware of the lack of food security for some of the students attending Williamson County schools, they partnered with Second Harvest food bank to begin a "Fuel Bag" program.  Fuel Bags are small bags filled with nutritious and easily prepared food items. Each Friday teachers discreetly pack the Fuel Bags in the children’s backpacks before they leave for the weekend, helping to supplement their food at home.

The GraceWorks Fuel Bag program is currently one of GWM fastest growing ministries. It grew 160% in 2012! The program currently provides food for more than 550 children a week. Working with 14 local elementary, middle and high schools to meet this expanding need.

This Fall Aspen Grove is having a multi-week food drive to help supply some of GWM "Critical Needs" for their fuel bags.  Each week a different item or items will be posted to bring and distribute in the collection cans.  I hope you will join us, making a difference doesn't get any easier than this!
