Below is the announcement following the family meeting
Thank you so much to those of you who attended our annual family meeting on Sunday Oct. 24th. If you were unable to attend the meeting here is a brief recap of all the information that was presented. As always, the eldership of AGCC strive to be transparent & inclusive of everyone. If you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate to contact any or all of our elders (see contact info. below).
Annual Family Meeting Recap
- Rick Hammond was affirmed as an Elder. This is the second time Rick has served in this role & we are thankful for his willingness to serve AGCC in this way.
- 2022 Budget, was affirmed. CLICK HERE to see a copy of the budget.
- Hazel Lucas, our long time part-time administrative assistant is stepping down in Dec. to move with her family to South Carolina. Recommendations for her replacement are appreciated.
- AC Rowland has been asked, by our elders, to step down from her role as our part-time student minister. While we do believe it was time to make a change, overwhelmingly our students love AC & we are incredibly grateful for her four years serving AGCC. AC has agreed to finish out the month of Oct. & as a show of our sincere appreciation for her work, AGCC has committed to paying AC through the end of the year.
- Potential Merger with Franklin Christian Church
- On behalf of the elders, Garry Vermaas read a statement about a potential merger with FCC. Below you can see a copy of the elders announcement, a list of FAQ's about the merger & an information sheet outlining AGCC attendance & finances over the past three years.
- Please Note
- AGCC elders have not made a decision about the merger with FCC. The eldership firmly believe this is a church decision & this announcement was intended to invite the family of Aspen Grove Christian Church into the conversation.
- AGCC elders are committed to hearing your comments & answering your questions. AGCC elders will host an informal Q&A after worship Sunday Oct. 31 & a formal (requires two weeks notice by our by-laws) town-hall meeting after worship Sunday Nov. 7th.
